Find work fast with views and filters
Switch how your tasks are laid out, then save the filter you keep rebuilding.
Once you have more than a handful of tasks, the question stops being "what exists" and becomes "what should I look at". That is what views and filters are for.
Three ways to look at the same tasks
The view dropdown offers Board, List and Calendar. Nothing changes about your tasks when you switch — only the layout.
- Board groups tasks into columns you drag between. Best when you care about what stage things are at.
- List is the densest view, and the only one with bulk selection for changing several tasks at once.
- Calendar lays tasks out by date. Best for spotting a week that is quietly overloaded.
In Board and List you can also change Group by between Status and Project.
Filters, and saving the ones you reuse
Press Filter Tasks to build a filter from conditions — a field, a comparison and a value — combined with AND or OR.
When you have built one you will want again, save it by name in the Saved Filters section of that same panel. Saved filters can be Personal or Shared with your workspace.
Before you build anything, check the ready-made views: Hitaji already ships Overdue Tasks, Due Today, Due This Week, Completed Tasks, Watching and Participating. Most of what people build by hand already exists here.
Worth remembering
- Board, List and Calendar are layouts of the same tasks — switching changes nothing.
- List view is the only one with bulk selection.
- Check the built-in views before building a filter; most common ones already exist.
