Understand your work patterns

Read the Work Center reports properly, and learn what they can and cannot tell you.

Work Analytics is built entirely from work you have already done, so there is nothing to set up. Four short lessons take you from the Overview cards to the point where the numbers change how you plan.

One thing throughout: this is for noticing patterns, not for judging yourself. A quiet week in a chart is information, not a verdict. The useful question is what changed, and whether you want it to stay changed.

By the end you will be able to

  • Read the Overview cards and the productivity rating without over-reading them
  • Set scope, targets and time frame so the numbers answer your actual question
  • Spot the difference between work that is late and work that is over budget
  • Use your estimates against tracked time to plan more accurately
