A project is the level between a workspace and your actual work. It groups the folders that belong to one effort — a client, a product, a programme of work.

A project belongs to exactly one workspace, so it inherits that workspace's boundary: a project inside a personal workspace is private, one inside an organisation workspace is shared with that team.

The full shape is workspace → project → folder → task. If you only ever need one of these, you have a small setup and that is fine; projects earn their place once one workspace holds several unrelated efforts.
