Goals that keep themselves honest
Milestones, recurring goals, the specialised types, and a review habit that sticks.
Most goals fail quietly. They are too big to move this week, they have no target date, or nobody looks at them again after the day they were written.
These four lessons are about the parts of Goals that fix that: breaking an ambition into milestones that roll up, letting habits recur so each period starts clean, using the Financial and Academic types when money or study is the real measure, and running a short weekly review with the filters and views.
You should already know how to create a goal and link tasks to it. This picks up from there.
By the end you will be able to
- Break a long goal into milestones that show progress every week
- Set up recurring goals so habits get a fresh verdict each period
- Choose the Financial or Academic type when the measure demands it
- Run a weekly review using scope tabs, status filters and the three views
