Where everything on your calendar comes from
The calendar stores nothing of its own — it merges five kinds of item from across Hitaji.
Hitaji Calendar is a window, not a filing cabinet. It holds no records itself. Everything you see there lives somewhere else in Hitaji and is drawn together into one grid.
The five sources
- Tasks — work with a due date.
- Reminders — a nudge at a specific time.
- Events — single or multi-day, with an agenda.
- Appointments — booked time with someone.
- Meetings — a scheduled video or audio call.
This is why the calendar is worth living in. You are not looking at a diary that somebody remembered to fill in; you are looking at everything that already exists, wherever it was created.
Two of them are scope-specific
Reminders are personal only. Meetings are organisation only. On the opposite scope they do not appear at all — not greyed out, simply absent.
If you are hunting for a reminder and cannot see it, check you are not looking at the organisation scope. This one fact explains most "my item has vanished" moments.
Editing what you find
Because items belong to their own features, clicking one takes you back to that feature rather than to some generic calendar editor. A task opens in a side panel. A reminder opens its own detail, where it can be converted into a Task, Goal, Event, Appointment or Meeting. Events, appointments and meetings open a short summary with a View full details link if you need everything.
The practical consequence is that you never have to leave the calendar to triage. Open the day, glance at what is there, and act on the two things that matter.
Worth remembering
- The calendar merges Tasks, Reminders, Events, Appointments and Meetings — it stores nothing itself.
- Reminders never appear on the organisation scope; meetings never appear on the personal one.
- Clicking an item takes you to its own feature, so you can act without leaving the calendar.
