Adding things without leaving the calendar

You do not have to go to each feature to put something on the calendar. There are two routes, and they end in exactly the same place.

The Create button

Create offers Task, Reminder, Event, Appointment and Meeting. Pick one and you are handed that feature’s real form — the same fields you would get anywhere else in Hitaji, not a stripped-down copy. Each form has a Back button and a Save another option, which is what you want when you are entering a term’s worth of dates in one sitting.

Clicking an empty day

Clicking an empty day opens a quick-create modal asking What would you like to add?, with the date already filled in. It describes each choice so you do not have to guess:

• Reminder — A nudge at a specific time.
• Event — Single or multi-day, with an agenda.
• Appointment — Book time with someone.
• Meeting — Schedule a video/audio call.

The distinction that matters most is reminder versus task. A reminder pokes you at a moment. A task is a piece of work that exists whether or not you are looking at it, and it can be assigned, tracked and reported on. If somebody else might need to know about it, make it a task.

You cannot create in the past

Clicking a day that has already gone will not open the modal. Hitaji tells you Cannot create items on a past date.

That is a guard, not a bug. Back-dating work quietly corrupts every report built on top of it — time records, completion rates, workload. If you genuinely need to record something that already happened, do it in the feature that owns it rather than by planting it in last week.
