Budgets, tax, and a real period-close workflow
Distribute a budget across cost centers, close the books, and reopen only with approval.
Beyond day-to-day bookkeeping, Accounting supports the controls a growing organisation needs: budgets distributed and consolidated across cost centers, configurable tax and withholding tax codes, staff expense claims, and a fixed-period close with a reopen-request workflow so a closed period can't be quietly edited.

Budgets across cost centers
Set a budget and distribute it across cost centers, or consolidate cost-center budgets into an organisation-wide view. Track actual spend against budget as transactions post, rather than reconciling the two at the end of the period.
Tax and withholding tax codes
Configure tax codes and withholding tax codes with their own thresholds, applied automatically as transactions are recorded, so tax compliance is built into the transaction rather than calculated separately afterward.
Expense claims
Staff submit expense claims by type, with advance offsets applied when a claim relates to a prior cash advance, keeping the accounting for reimbursed spend accurate and auditable.
Fixed-period close and reopen requests
Close a period once it's finalised, locking it against silent edits. If something genuinely needs correcting after close, a reopen request routes for approval rather than allowing a direct edit — so the audit trail stays trustworthy.
