What is a note?

A note is a document for thinking in — text, checklists, images, files, and recorded voice.

Notes keep their earlier versions, so an edit that went wrong can be undone later, and a deleted note can be recovered rather than being gone.

A note lives in a notebook, which is what decides who can see it.
